Meredith Sand Designs Studio & Gallery is delighted to welcome Orlando-based artist Heather Dartez as its newest resident artist.

Heather, an award-winning watercolor and acrylic painter, brings her evocative "Vintage Vibes" series to the gallery, capturing the essence of "Old Florida" through nostalgic citrus labels and vibrant imagery. Her work, deeply rooted in her upbringing in Clewiston, Florida, offers a heartfelt tribute to the state's rich cultural heritage. The exhibition opening with a speakeasy-themed event on June 6, 2025, will feature live jazz by Hannah Stokes and curated cocktails from Otto’s High Dive, setting a lively tone for the showcase.

Heather's artistic journey is complemented by her academic achievements, including a Doctorate in Business Administration. As the Education Director of Graduate Studies at Full Sail University, she seamlessly blends her passion for art with a commitment to education. Her works have been recognized by the National and Florida Watercolor Societies and exhibited in esteemed venues such as the Orlando Museum of Art and CityArts Factory.
