Meet Meredith
Roots in Creativity: From Orlando to Artistry
Meredith Sand, a native of Orlando, FL, discovered her passion for creativity early on. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Southern Methodist University in 2005, she returned to Orlando to pursue a career in corporate marketing. Her love for art persisted throughout her corporate roles, where she excelled in art direction, brand strategy, and public relations.
From Corporate to Creative: The Birth of Meredith Sand Design
Though successful in the corporate world, Meredith felt a deeper calling. What began as a hobby—creating handmade gifts with blank notecards and stamps—soon blossomed into a thriving business. In 2015, her designs caught the attention of Strathmore Artist Papers, leading to a commission that marked a pivotal moment in her creative career.
Expanding Horizons: A Business Evolves
Meredith’s artistic journey continued to evolve as she began drawing her own designs and carving stamps. By 2023, her home-based studio had expanded to include textiles, with her products featured in local Orlando boutiques and pop-up events with national brands like Williams Sonoma and West Elm.
Family and Community: Art with Heart
As a mother of two, Meredith involves her children, Jack and Kate, in her artistic endeavors, fostering their creativity and entrepreneurial spirit. Beyond her business, she is deeply committed to her community, contributing her expertise to local non-profits, including board roles with the Orlando Science Center and Central Florida Public Media, the region’s NPR affiliate.
